Service Description
Develop your audiation and piano-playing ability in a supportive and encouraging environment. Using specific learning sequences, according to your abilities, the teacher will help you (your child) individually practice, listening, singing and playing in major and minor keys as well as other modalities like Mixolydian (It's more common than you think!) You'll get the chance to learn the building blocks of music and specifically piano playing, like guided listening and context exploration, common rhythm and tonal patterns in major and minor, chord singing and playing, and learning how to express whatever you want with the music you create!
Important Course Info
For all classes: -Opportunities for movement, play, and bathroom facilities will be provided. Class Requirements: -Group Piano: Ability to sit at keyboard for 15 minutes at a time Ability to stand up and independently regulate physically/emotionally when teacher is with another student Ability to respect others' learning space by staying at their keyboard, and waiting for teacher to come give further instruction or assist. All learning materials will be provided. -Ensemble Composition: Bring own instrument and power hookups if needed (power supply provided, through building!) Ability to handle their own instrument. All other learning materials will be provided. If you don't have your own instrument, email me, and we can see what I have that will work for you! -Musicianship: Ability to be respectful in a group of 12 students. All learning materials will be provided! Pickup and Dropoff: -Drop off time is up to 5 minutes before and after class time. -When arriving at 3662 W 2550 S, enter the driveway from the East entrance, drop off/pick up student near the gallery entrance, and exit driveway using Southwest-most exit, past the white "Jeffrey Favero Photography Gallery" sign.
